The festival of Diwali has a special place in all our hearts. This festival brings a lot of joy and happiness all around the country. The excitement of burning crackers, eating delicious sweets, and flaunting new clothes & attires are just a few of the many perks of this festival.
At Peerbits, we didn’t want to miss out on celebrating this festival and that is why we decided to celebrate Diwali with Peerbits family members on the eve of 12th November 2020.
All the employees took part in the Diwali celebration with great enthusiasm. Our HR Manager Ms Sagathia flagged off the Diwali celebration after giving a short speech about the significance of the Diwali festival. There were two events in the Diwali celebration, one was best out of waste and another was the rangoli making competition.
Firstly, the whole staff was divided into three teams – Avengers, Brighters, and Challengers. The leader of team Avengers was Mushahid Khatri, Brighter’s captain was Aaquilkhan Pathan and the captain of Challengers was Rajesh Yadav.
All the teams gathered together at their respective places to start the competition. Team leaders had allotted responsibilities to every team member. All the members were super excited about the competition.
Best out of waste
At Peerbits, we believe in getting maximum output from the minimal resources. Also, we believe in saving the environment by using eco-friendly products. Thus we have kept “Best out of the waste” competition as our inaugural event for Diwali celebration.
All the members brought waste articles like newspapers, straws, old cloth pieces, etc. from their homes to decorate their respective areas. The teams had started decorating their respective sections after getting a signal from their leaders.
Members were doing the decoration work with great joy. The entrance was decorated beautifully by the teams. Paper lamps, decorative pieces, jhummars, stickers, etc. had been used for office decoration. After finishing making their decorative pieces, the participants started clicking selfies with their designs.
The festival of Diwali is incomplete without Rangoli. Rangoli is an art form made by using vibrant colours and multiple geometrical shapes. Peerbits team also decided to embrace the colours of this festive season with a rangoli making competition. Beautiful rangolis were crafted at the entrances and in the office premises by the team members.
All the teams had made attractive rangolis by using different colours and designs. The entire office premise was looking vibrant and colourful. But once we lighted up the candles and diyas, the aura of our office premises became mesmerising.
After the completion of both the games, everyone was eager to know the results. All the teams are very excited about the prize distribution. Selecting the best team was a tough task for the judges as every team has performed very well. Still, the judges came out with the winner’s name after a lot of discussions.
Rahul Patel announced Brighters as the winning team. All the team members were happy and overjoyed. The leader of the team Aaquil Pathan has also given a thank you speech with warm Diwali greetings to all the employees.
Peerbits family is always encouraging new talents. That’s why we have decided to honour our new joinees with some gifts. Our HR manager had started announcing the name of our new teammates for the gift distribution. All of them gave a brief introduction of themselves and received their gifts.
There is no good time to have snacks when all are enjoying the event together. Thus, at the end of this event, Peerbits family offered a traditional Gujarati meal of Khaman and Chutney to its team. Along with this, Peerbits family also gifted a pack of sweets to its employees as a thanksgiving token for their valuable contribution to the company.
Diwali celebration had become an unforgettable event for the Peerbits family. The whole evening became even more beautiful with fun-filled competitions, creative rangolis and sumptuous meals. This celebration also brought out the great camaraderie among all the members of Peerbits family. This evening gave us some cherished memories for our lifetime.
